Sina Shahbazmohamadi is the Director of the REFINE lab (previously Center for Hardware Assurance Security and Engineering Lab (CHASE LAB). He is interested in the main theme of multi- dimensional multi-scale security and assurance. He uses advanced 3D imaging and image processing and machine learning algorithms to tackle problems in automated inspection, failure analysis and non-destructive evaluation of micro/nano engineering systems. He received his PhD from UConn in Mechanical Engineering and did his postdoctoral research in Center for Hardware Assurance Security and Engineering (CHASE). He returned to UCONN as an assistant professor in Biomedical Engineering Department and Director of CHASE lab after two years of serving as an assistant professor in Mechanical Engineering at Manhattan College.
